Education
Education in its broadest sense is at the absolute heart of all Southern Sinfonia’s activities. We believe that musical knowledge can be a life-enhancing experience.
In partnership with Greenham Common Trust, we bring introductory music workshops to as many local Infant and Junior schools as possible. It is through these that children are able to absorb the true benefits of music.
Our secondary school work is also well-known in the area. We bring professional musicians into contact with youth at a crucial age; allowing them to learn and experience the satisfaction of excellence through music.
Through these workshops we aim to establish a foundation in and stimulate an understanding of classical music performance and composition in all young people, regardless of upbringing or background.
