Education
Music is for life
Education in its broadest sense is at the absolute heart of all Southern Sinfonia’s activities and we believe that musical knowledge can be truly life-enhancing. To this end, we have an established Education & Outreach Programme, which engages over 6000 local children and young adults a year.
Ranging from our Introductory and Compositional Workshops in local Primary and Secondary Schools, to our pioneering Side-by-Side Projects and collaborations with, amongst others, the University of Winchester, the Orchestra aims to bring music into the lives of as many children in the local and wider community as possible, regardless of background or upbringing.
