Infant & Junior School Projects

20110317031425-ED1.JPGOur Infant and Primary School Education Programme, funded by Greenham Common Trust, brings music and professional musicians into over 13 schools in West Berkshire.

Our work in these schools allows children to learn about music by creating it themselves. Throughout each workshop, our Education Teams are on hand to aid and encourage each child to explore and experiment with sound, both individually and as part of a group, culminating in a performance at the end of the project. We also ensure that teachers feel supported during the projects, so that they are able to continue the children's musical development between Southern Sinfonia's visits.   20110622124813-BT.kids.png

Workshops can be developed to fit into curriculum subjects or to link with extra-curricular activities within the school setting.

If you would like further information about the benefits our Education Programme could provide to your school, then please contact Eileen Forsey on 01635 580035.
